Youth and Children's Ministries
The Nursery (to age 4)
There are two
care givers available for the
8:30 and the 10am services. Care is given downstairs in the Sunday school area.
Parents may also sit in the Nursery area as well
and listen to the service if they choose.
Children’s Sunday school
(K-6th
)
10:15- 11:15am. Children
will come to the 10am service, come forward
for the Children’s moment and leave for Sunday school classes afterward. Our children
have a great time learning tried and true
spiritual concepts taught by our enthusiastic
teachers!
Children’s Program (K-6th
)
Children of RFUMC enjoy a wide
variety of program. Kids will benefit from an
annual Vacation Bible School (VBS), A
Quarterly Parent’s Night Out, local mission
outreach, monthly enrichment outings, acolyting, not to mention the various seasonal
activities we’ll do around Christmas, Easter and
other important holidays.
Youth Sunday School (7th-12th)
10:15-11:15am.
Youth will come to the
10am service and leave for Sunday school classes
after the Children’s Moment. We’ll be discussing different topics taken from current issues using
YOUTUBE videos, DVD clips and even our own United
Methodist Social principles as a springboards. Join
us!!!!!
Youth Confirmation (8th)
Others that have not been confirmed may attend
for now. We will explore the Christian faith,
spirituality and the students faith journey. We will use the
UM curriculum, CLAIM
THE
NAME. Classes will begin each fall and
last till May. Times and start
date TBA.
United Methodist Youth Fellowship
UMYF
7th
-12th) We meet every Wednesday evening from 6:30- 9pm. We offer
dinner for a $5 fee, fellowship, games, art opportunities,
and Sanctuary time focusing on discussion and
spiritual exploration with the use of video and music. We also do other
Stuph! We have a Summer Middle School Mission trip as
well as a High School Mission trip to various places.
White Water Rafting is a big event during our summer
with class 3 and 4 rapids on the American river. We
camp, we do Ropes courses, we have a Youth Fall
Retreat…we even have a Mystery trip!!! Bwa
hahahaha! You gotta join
us!!!!!
